Context

Every year, Chinese families throw away approximately 26 million tons of clothing, and the nation’s accumulation of textile waste amounts to nearly 100 million tons. Less than one percent of this is reused - not nearly enough to deal with the enormous amount of existing waste and the speed at which it grows. Whilst, rural migrant workers as the more than 1/3 of the entire working population have been lived on the edge of the society and exposed to the health risks for the cheap clothing from untrusted resources.

Service Proposition

Closet Ling provides an environmentally attractive solution for the dry cleaning industry and consumers alike, redistributes the resources with a short-path recycling process that offers people in need with affordable and quality choices of second-hand clothing.
